Kforce has a client that is seeking a Slack Infrastructure Engineer in New York, NY.
Summary:
As a Slack Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the infrastructure of our Slack environment. This includes understanding the software, architecture, authentication mechanisms, add-ons, and integrations.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain Slack s infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability
* Understand Slack s software and architecture to optimize performance and scalability
* Implement and manage authentication mechanisms and security features within the Slack environment
* Oversee the integration of add-ons and plugins to enhance Slack s functionality
* Ensure seamless integration of Slack with other systems and applications
* Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues as they arise
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various business units and their Slack usage
Partner with Slack the vendor to rollout and resolve issues as identified related to new and upgraded capabilities
Required Skills : * Slack Administration and Configuration: Deep knowledge of Slack s architecture, APIs, and integrations; Experience managing Slack workspaces, channels, and user permissions * Authentication and Security: Expertise in implementing authentication mechanisms (e.g., SSO, OAuth); Familiarity with security best practices for SaaS platforms * System Integration: Ability to integrate Slack with other enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, etc.); Experience with add-ons, plugins, and custom workflows * Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills for infrastructure-related issues; Ability to resolve performance and scalability challenges * Networking and Infrastructure Knowledge: Understanding of cloud environments and network protocols; Familiarity with high availability and reliability principles * Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors * Communication: Clear documentation and stakeholder updates * Project Management: Ability to manage rollouts and upgrades Nice-to-Have: * Experience with automation tools (e.g., scripts for Slack admin tasks) * Knowledge of API development for custom Slack integrations * Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR)
