Job Title: Food Scientist Job Description As a Food Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in cooking various food products using products to test their applications. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide technical solutions. Additionally, you will formulate specific products tailored to customer requirements, utilizing your expertise in research and development (R&D) and microbiological testing. Responsibilities + Conduct food-based and microbiological testing to ensure product quality and safety. + Document all test results accurately and thoroughly. + Present innovative solutions to customers and assist with implementation and training. + Support the sales team with product knowledge during customer visits. + Contribute to developing marketing strategies to effectively present products to customers. + Engage in corporate R&D projects, exploring new industries and technologies in food science. Essential Skills + Experience in microbiology and food science. + Strong customer interaction skills and extroverted personality. + Proficiency in culinary applications and micro testing. + Ability to train in Belgium for 6 to 9 months, followed by work based in Milwaukee. Work Environment This role involves working in both office and laboratory settings, with approximately 50 to 75% of the time spent in the lab and 25 to 50% in the office. You will collaborate with sales, customer service, lab personnel, and external partners, including quality, R&D, and manufacturing teams from client organizations. The position operates on a first shift, Monday through Friday, with travel up to 20% to 30% nationally. Candidates will have the opportunity to train in Belgium for 6 to 9 months and must possess a valid passport. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
