Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Wireless RF Technician IV to join our clients team in Kenai, Alaska. This role involves travel throughout Alaska. This position involves mentoring and training junior technicians while ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of wireless network infrastructure. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing cell site equipment, replacing electronic parts and RF connectors, and collaborating with transport technicians to expedite circuit repairs. The position requires performing installation, adjustment, advanced troubleshooting, and maintenance of RF transmission lines, antennas, and related equipment such as microwave systems, tower-mounted radios, cellular antennas, TMAs, fiber cabling, DC power systems, FAA warning beacons, and tower lighting. The technician will work closely with RF Engineering and RAN Operations teams to support network optimization projects and verify contractor compliance through site redlines. Additional duties include corrective and preventative maintenance of cell sites, power systems, and associated components, as well as providing technical support to remote technicians via phone, command line interface, and ticketing systems.

Skills and Requirements
Associates Degree in electronics, telecommunications trade school, or equivalent training.
9 years of experience in a field operations telecommunications industry or 11 years without a degree.
Including 6 years in wireless telecommunications, wireless site construction, or related field.
Upon hire will be required to obtain and maintain tower climber certification. - Ericsson, Linux, Unix, Cisco IOS, command line interface, Secure Shell, and File Transfer Protocol.
Knowledge of RF propagation principles and concepts such as UMTS/HSPA, CDMA/EVDO, LTE, and microwave.
Prior certification as a tower climber
