Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PICU
Location: Cleveland, OH
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Orientation: 20 Hours (Non-Billable)
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse for a Level I tertiary care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience caring for infants through young adult patients, including those requiring complex monitoring and high-acuity interventions.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide specialized critical care nursing to pediatric patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
Monitor patients requiring invasive and non-invasive support, including inotropes and ventilators.
Perform continuous patient assessment and respond rapidly to changes in condition.
Administer medications safely, including high-risk and titrated infusions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists.
Support families with education, emotional support, and care planning.
Document care accurately in accordance with regulatory standards.
Pediatric ICU serving patients from neonatal age through young adults up to ~25 years .
Care includes epilepsy monitoring , neuro patients, respiratory failure, trauma, and critical medical illness.
Experience:
Minimum 18 months of recent PICU experience required (permanent or travel).
Must have prior permanent experience in specialty before traveling.
Licensure:
Active Ohio RN License or Active Compact RN License MUST be in hand at submission .
Certifications:
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS
AHA PALS
ECG rhythm interpretation proficiency required
Experience with inotropes required
NIHSS preferred
Must work at least every other holiday during assignment.
No block scheduling guaranteed.
ECG Rhythm Test and Safe Medicate Assessment required during orientation (passing score required).
Qualivis / Lotus system used for timecard submission.
