We are seeking a motivated Model Integration Trainee who will support senior engineers in building and testing integrations between different platforms, APIs, and automation workflows. This role is ideal for beginners looking to learn how data flows between systems, how REST APIs work, and how automation tasks are developed using Python, Bash, and scheduling tools.
As a trainee, you will work under guidance to assist with simple API calls, data parsing, logging, documentation, and workflow validation.
Key Responsibilities API & Workflow SupportAssist in basic API testing and help send/validate requests (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE).
Support senior developers in connecting systems such as Airtable, Jira, or similar platforms.
Help parse JSON data and validate responses during data exchange.
Assist in monitoring API results, logs, and error outputs.
Learn how cron jobs work on Unix/Linux systems.
Assist in preparing scripts that automate simple data transfer tasks.
Help review logs and identify errors or failed task runs.
Support simple Python or Bash scripting tasks under supervision.
Learn to use basic Python libraries like requests for calling APIs.
Help test automation scripts and collect results.
Maintain documentation of workflows, API calls, and integration steps.
Assist in logging tasks by recording success/error responses.
Help track configuration changes and workflow behavior.
Work closely with senior integration engineers and team members.
Participate in meetings, take notes, and support follow-up tasks.
Interest in API integration, automation, and scripting.
Basic understanding of Python or shell scripting (or willingness to learn quickly).
Curiosity about REST APIs, JSON, and system-to-system communication.
Good analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn automation concepts like cron jobs and task scheduling.
Strong communication and eagerness to work in a collaborative team.
Basic Python scripting knowledge (requests, json).
Basic experience with Linux or command-line environments.
Understanding of basics (methods, status codes).
Exposure to JSON or API-based data.
Familiarity with Git or version control concepts.
