Job Title: Instrument and Electrical Technician II or III
Location: Midland, TX
Schedule: 5/2 – Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
Rotational on-call required
Pay Rate: •
Level II: $45.00 – $50.00/hr

Position Overview
The Instrument and Electrical Technician II / III is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems supporting oil and gas production facilities. This role ensures equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and strict compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems utilized by production equipment
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and procedures, with a strong emphasis on health, safety, and environmental performance
- Support collaboration between Operations, Engineering, and Projects teams
- Review and provide input on control specifications and work practices
- Execute work through the Permit to Work System (PTWS) in accordance with the Work Management Manual
- Ensure quality and timely completion of maintenance activities scheduled through the Maintenance Program
- Develop and maintain technical expertise, staying current with codes, procedures, and emerging technologies
- Participate in and lead technical meetings as needed to support technician knowledge sharing
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support to other technicians
- Generate and manage Management of Change (MOC) documentation for electrical and control systems
- Inspect new installations to verify compliance and recommend improvements
- Act as a stand-in for the Instrument and Electrical Lead when required
Skills and Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree preferred, enhanced by technical school coursework
- Minimum of 5 years of experience required in electrical and instrumentation maintenance
- Experience in oil & gas processing plants or offshore production facilities
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls
- Familiarity with oil & gas operational regulations and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of OIMS systems, manuals, and procedures
- Ability to meet all safety, administrative, and technical training requirements per the Operations Training Roadmap
- Strong computer skills for reporting, documentation, and system interaction
