Job Title: Human Resources Specialist – Recruiter
Contract Position
Location: Overland Park, KS (Onsite Only)
Start Date: 12/8/2025
Estimated End Date: 05/8/2026
Pay Rate: $47.50/hr.
Eligibility: US Citizenship or Green Card required

Join an innovative and fast-paced team as a Human Resources Specialist – Recruiter supporting full life cycle recruiting efforts for an organization committed to excellence, inclusion, and growth. As a critical member of our talent acquisition team, you will play a key role in sourcing, engaging, and hiring top talent while fostering valuable partnerships across our departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with hiring managers and department stakeholders to forecast hiring needs and develop robust staffing strategies.

  • Develop, post, and maintain consistent and compelling job descriptions and advertisements for open roles.

  • Creatively source talent through advanced social media tools, professional networks, and industry events, building a strong pipeline of both active and passive candidates.

  • Engage and cultivate relationships with candidates, including direct outreach to passive talent.

  • Screen applicants collaboratively with business leads to ensure alignment with technical and cultural requirements.

  • Effectively utilize the internal applicant tracking system to review applications, track candidate progress, and ensure a seamless workflow.

  • Present and negotiate job offers, managing the entire offer and hiring process to provide an outstanding candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.

  • Collaborate with onboarding and HR support teams to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires.

  • Ensure full compliance with federal and state employment laws, including affirmative action and equal opportunity regulations.

  • Be a proactive resource for HR support throughout the business, addressing needs as they arise and promoting a positive, collaborative culture.

  • Consistently uphold and reflect our organization’s vision, mission, and core values, with an unwavering commitment to workplace safety.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated full life cycle recruiting experience.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with hiring managers and business stakeholders.

  • Experience recruiting for positions in engineering and IT disciplines is highly valued, but not required.

  • Strong sourcing skills, employing creative strategies to identify and engage both active and passive talent.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions while delivering high-quality candidate and hiring manager experiences.

  • Deep understanding of and commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HR compliance best practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience recruiting for technical, engineering, or scientific roles.

  • Knowledgeable in talent acquisition strategy, employer branding, and proactive workforce planning.

  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
