Job Description

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Winston-Salem in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their 16-month-old son. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 8:00/9:00 am - 4:00/5:00 pm. The family would like a Nanny who can travel with them domestically and internationally (approximately 3 weeks a year).

The best nanny for this family would be patient, open-minded, optimistic, and passionate about caring for children. Familiarity and prior experience with early childhood development and milestones would be preferred. Fostering a nurturing and safe environment, the nanny would be responsible for maintaining their son’s routine and meeting his daily needs (feeding, changing, napping, and playing). Throughout the day, the nanny is encouraged to read to their son, take him on strolls, Kindermusik class, listen to music, play inside and outside, and engage in educational activities that encourage growth and development. As the child grows the nanny should plan fun age-appropriate outings throughout the community, such as trips to the Library, storytime, parks, and more. This is a multi-generational home, The Dad and Granddad work from home in designated offices and rarely leave their office during work hours. The Grandma is home during the day but will spend most of the time in a separate area of the home. The nanny should be comfortable with this and respect proper work-from-home boundaries.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

• Child’s laundry and changing the child’s sheets weekly

• Child’s meal prep

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher, sanitizing childs cups/plates, and cleaning high chair

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child

• Picking up after the nanny and the child throughout the day

• Emptying the diaper pail and stocking diapers and wipes

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on childhood vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccine and booster, the annual Flu Vaccine, and TDAP before starting the position.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP

• Legal pay is offered at $24-$27 an hour, depending on experience

• Continued pay while the family is away

• Three weeks of paid time off, including sick days and vacation

• Paid Mileage for driving on the Job

• Annual performance-based bonus

• $1000 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment
