Job Description

We’re excited to be opening Stepping Stones NW LLC , a new youth residential program dedicated to providing safe, supportive, and trauma-informed care for youth in foster care. We’re looking for compassionate, reliable Direct Care Staff to join our growing team and help make a real difference.

As a Direct Care Staff member, you’ll be on the front lines supporting youth in their daily lives by:

• Providing active supervision and ensuring safety
• Supporting daily living skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviors
• Assisting with meals, transportation, and community activities
• Building trusting, supportive relationships with youth
• Documenting behaviors, progress, and incidents
• Responding to crises using trauma-informed practices
• Working as part of a collaborative care team

✅ Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

• 21+ years old , OR meet approved alternative pathways
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience working with children or youth , or qualifying education in social services
  
  (Examples include daycare, schools, mental health, residential care, foster care, supervised visits, or community programs)

Alternative pathways available for:

• Students currently enrolled in social service–related programs
• Individuals building experience under supervision
• Certain licensed professionals or degree holders ages 18–21

Preferred Skills:

• Trauma-informed care experience
• Calm, confident response to challenging behaviors
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Familiarity with child welfare or behavioral health systems
