This position pays between $50,000 to $60,000 annually. **REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:** + Degree in journalism or communications or equivalent education and work experience with a proven ability in journalism reporting and writing + Minimum two years' experience + Proven experience building, maintaining and engaging an active audience + Ability to work independently under deadline pressure and prioritize tasks appropriately + Solid understanding of news writing, journalistic ethics and story structure + Demonstrated capability in capitalizing on high-value topics by engaging audiences in frequency and urgency + Mastery of social media and digital interaction + Proven ability to utilize a broad set of tools to tell stories and engage the audience We have reporters throughout the state with offices in Springfield, Worcester and the Boston area. This reporter will be based in Massachusetts, either in Central (Worcester-area) or Eastern Massachusetts (Greater Boston). There are no regular in-office days for this position, however, attendance for occasional in-person news team and company-wide meetings is expected. This position is Tuesday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. This job requires reliable transportation to meet with sources and cover news.
